Build a Module.com - sponsor interview

What does your company do and how do you work with Drupal?
We produce high-end Drupal video tutorials for Drupal developers and site builders.

How did you first get involved in Drupal?
I (Chris Shattuck) personally got involved with Drupal after doing web site development and design work for 6 years and building my own web site framework. I started searching for how to foster a community around the framework and found that Drupal was way ahead of what I had done, and began doing client work in Drupal immediately. The learning curve was steep, and I relied a lot on the community to help me through sticky spots. About a year ago, I began recording planned, comprehensive video tutorials to augment to the visual learning resources available for Drupal. I've since moved over to producing these videos full time.

What type of work and/or websites do you specialize in?
Right now, we just produce and distribute videos that the community has indicated there's a need for.

What are you most looking forward to at DrupalCamp Colorado this year?
I love the community in Denver. There's so many great people that I don't get to see nearly enough throughout the year. This camp will be the first one where we've had a booth, and that should be interesting.

Is there anything else you'd like our attendees to know?
At the booth, we'll be giving out 15% off coupons for any purchase on Build a Module.com. You can also come and watch any of the 370+ how-to videos we currently have released, or simply slip on a set of giant headphones and watch a random sample. Most importantly, I'd love to meet you or get a chance to say hi again, so please stop by and hang out for a bit!
